Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you interact with the service.

2. Cookies We Use

Tractn uses a minimal set of cookies, primarily for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies on the Tractn application itself.

2.1 Essential Cookies (Required)

These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.

3. Tracking Technologies Deployed by Users

Tractn provides tools that our users (businesses) can deploy on their own websites. These are not cookies on the Tractn application itself — they are technologies our users choose to embed on their websites:

3.1 Tractn Pixel

The Tractn Pixel is a JavaScript snippet that our users embed on their websites to track conversion events (e.g., sign-ups, form submissions, purchases). It collects:

  • Event type and value
  • UTM attribution parameters (source, medium, campaign)
  • Referrer URL and landing page
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Anonymous session identifier
  • Form data explicitly passed by the user's website (e.g., email, name)

Important: The Tractn Pixel does not set cookies on end-user devices. It uses server-side event collection. Our users are responsible for disclosing the Tractn Pixel in their own privacy policies, as they are the Data Controllers for their website visitors' data.

3.2 Email Tracking

Emails sent through Tractn's email automation features may include:

  • Open tracking: A 1×1 transparent pixel image that records when an email is opened
  • Click tracking: Links rewritten through a redirect URL to record click-throughs

These tracking mechanisms are standard email marketing practices. Our users are responsible for disclosing email tracking in their communications.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block all cookies or only third-party cookies
  • Set preferences for specific websites

Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging into and using the Tractn platform.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
