Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Tractn platform and all related services. By using Tractn, you agree to comply with this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.

Tractn is designed to help businesses run their marketing operations responsibly and effectively. We expect all users to use our platform ethically and in compliance with applicable laws.

2. Email Automation Rules

Tractn provides email drip sequences and automated email sending. When using these features, you must:

  • Only send emails to recipients who have given explicit consent or with whom you have an existing business relationship
  • Include a clear and functional unsubscribe mechanism in every marketing email
  • Use accurate sender information and subject lines that reflect the email content
  • Honor unsubscribe requests promptly — within 10 business days as required by law
  • Comply with CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), GDPR (EU), and all applicable email marketing laws in your jurisdiction
  • Not purchase, rent, or harvest email lists
  • Not send emails to addresses obtained through scraping or automated collection

3. Tractn Pixel Usage

When embedding the Tractn Pixel on your website, you must:

  • Disclose the use of the Tractn Pixel in your website's privacy policy
  • Obtain appropriate consent from your website visitors where required by law (e.g., GDPR opt-in for EU visitors)
  • Not use the pixel to collect data from minors under 16 years of age
  • Not use the pixel on websites that contain illegal, harmful, or deceptive content
  • Ensure that any personal data (email, name, phone) passed to the pixel was collected with valid consent

4. AI-Generated Content

Tractn uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate marketing strategies, content briefs, social media posts, and other materials. When using AI features:

  • Review all AI output before publishing or distributing — AI can produce inaccurate or inappropriate content
  • Do not use AI features to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, or deliberately misleading
  • Do not use AI features to impersonate real individuals or create fake testimonials
  • Do not use AI features to generate spam content at scale
  • Do not input sensitive personal data (health records, financial account numbers, government IDs) into AI prompts
  • You are solely responsible for the content you publish, regardless of whether it was AI-generated

5. Platform Integrations

When connecting third-party platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Google, Meta, etc.) to Tractn:

  • You must have the authority to connect the accounts you link
  • You must comply with each platform's terms of service and API usage policies
  • Do not use Tractn to automate actions that violate platform rules (e.g., mass follow/unfollow, fake engagement)
  • Do not use connected accounts to publish content that violates the platform's community guidelines
  • If a platform restricts or revokes API access due to your actions, Tractn is not liable for the loss of functionality

6. Data Protection Obligations

As a Tractn user, you act as a Data Controller for the personal data you collect through Tractn's tools (pixel, email, CRM). You are responsible for:

  • Having a lawful basis for collecting and processing personal data
  • Maintaining an up-to-date privacy policy on your website that discloses your use of Tractn
  • Responding to data subject requests (access, deletion, portability) from your leads and contacts
  • Not collecting personal data from children under 16 without verifiable parental consent
  • Ensuring data you import into Tractn was lawfully obtained

7. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on Tractn:

  • Sending unsolicited commercial emails (spam)
  • Using the platform to promote illegal products or services
  • Attempting to circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or security controls
  • Scraping, reverse-engineering, or extracting data from the Tractn platform
  • Sharing account credentials or allowing unauthorized access
  • Using Tractn to harass, threaten, or abuse any individual
  • Generating content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
  • Using the platform to conduct phishing or social engineering attacks
  • Reselling or sublicensing Tractn access without written authorization

8. Enforcement

Tractn reserves the right to take action against accounts that violate this policy, including:

  • Warning: First-time or minor violations may result in a written warning
  • Suspension: Repeated violations may result in temporary account suspension
  • Termination: Severe or ongoing violations will result in permanent account termination
  • Reporting: Illegal activities will be reported to the relevant authorities

We may investigate potential violations at our discretion and may access account data as necessary to enforce this policy, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

9. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to us at abuse@tractn.io. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
